Duncan Imports just got in a Subaru Vivio Coupe, it’s like a half-sized version of an X90. The back window folds, and the center roof section can be removed.
Check out the wild interior - sadly I’m pretty sure they were all autos.
Not sure if the roof is busted, but they only show a top-up photo - here
’s a video showing the roof operation (skip to 1:40)

Yours for $8K already here, but I’m sure our man Flavien can get you a better one for less.

10/10 would giggle like a school girl every time you drive it.

I’m an auto apologist, but even for a car that rarely hits the open road, I’d think a manual would be the better choice in something so low powered.

They’re m
ade entirely of pure 90s. As in d

recycled grunge clothing and
Soundgarden CDs.
Uh sir, that would be the X-35...

Have I mentioned the T-Tops? Probably still faster with the auto than a 70s Camaro.

At the time, I believe these were billed as the smallest 4-seat convertible in the world.

I could fit that in the bed of my 250, make custom ramps for it to get out and be loving the Kei life

Just a couple
of the things I love about kei cars from the '90s. One of these days I'm going to own something ridiculously small and underpowered for US roads..

You might think so. But having driven a 90s auotmatic Kei car before...you may be surprised. They were tarely more than 3 speeds and gearing is low. It a lso does have a gear hold...2nd in the Mira on twisties was hilarious.
Personally, if I were in the US and h ankered for a little early 90s weirdo car to import ...a first gen Peugeot 106 would be up there, especially if it was an S1 .

I think it’s a violation of the Geneva Conventions to make even a child ride in the back seat of one of those.

I think I’ve seen them manual but they are rare. You could even get the rx- r as a convertible too I think.

Surprising that the autos are so prevalent but I’m guessing for the most part they were city cars in period.
